Hi,
Not with the ‘count against user-no’ thing. I ended up putting all my free books in a folder which wasn’t S2Member protected. That way it didn’t count against their download total.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] box is slightly too bigThat’s perfect! Thank you so much. You guys have got to have the best support I have ever seen on a plugin.
I’m going to try this out soon.
And thank you again. I’m surprised you’re not a developer, you certainly know your stuff.
It’s a shortcode for a button 🙂
So the count_against_user=”no”….is that a shortcode?
That’s my last question, and thank you very much. I see you answer a lot on the forums and it’s really nice of you to do so…really appreciated.
Brilliant. Thanks.
One more question. I want to have a level where people can download, say, 10 books in a 2 day period. I don’t want the free books (in the level 0 sub directory) to count towards their downloads. I saw in the documentation this:
count_against_user=”no”
but I’m not sure how to put that with the link. So if my link looked liked this:
[su_button url=”http://www.globalgrey.co.uk/?s2member_file_download=access-s2member-level0/example.pdf&s2member_skip_confirmation” background=”#ef3c2d” color=”#ffffff” size=”6″ icon=”icon: download”]Click to download PDF[/su_button]
(I’m using a shortcode button thing)…where would I specify that I didn’t want this download counted against the members allowance?

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Version 2.2.3 broke a part of my postsI can’t find out how to correct this, so I’ve just deactivated the plugin for now, until a fix is done.

In reply to: [Comments - wpDiscuz] Version 2.2.3 broke a part of my postsYeah, it also broke my slider. It moved the images to the right so everything looked messed up. I’m using Dynamic News theme.
They are useless. I had my suspicions as soon as he said it. I am definitely moving to another one very soon. I asked him would it interfere with how Wordfence works and he replied:
No, it won’t interfere with it, it just makes it more efficient and prevents it from locking the database.
And i thought to myself..that doesn’t sound right really. Glad to know my suspicions were correct. If I uninstall the Wordfence plugin and then reinstall it, will it correct whatever he did?

In reply to: [Download Monitor] code reset itselfThanks for the super quick response…and that makes sense. Will follow your advice about the custom CSS.
Thank you 🙂
Hi,
Yeah I know it already counts as one download for those file types. I was asking if the same could be done for pdf, epub and mobi.
You say it would need a custom code. Do you know if there is something I could add to the existing code in one of the php files (I don’t even know which file that would be in really). Like, is there a list of those files written somewhere, where I could just add the ebook file types?
Thank you for your help.
Ok. Thank you very much for your replies…you’ve been very helpful 🙂
Thanks for the quick reply…that’s great.
If possible, could you also answer one more thing…when I look at my traffic stats, I sometimes see a url like this:
http://www.globalgrey.co.uk/membership/?_s2member_vars=file..level..1..file..Cinderella.pdf..Lz9zMm1lbWJlcl9maWxlX2Rvd25sb2FkPUNpbmRlcmVsbGEucGRmJnMybWVtYmVyX3NraXBfY29uZmlybWF0aW9u&_s2member_sig=1426786793-fc80848f1c4c8739f99435b5745e0326
Do you have any idea why they are reaching that weird url?
