Thanks for the help on this matter…I certainly appreciate it.Today, I created a new database hosted on an entirely different server, independent from my usual host AND the same error happened! This leads me to believe there must be some other issue aside from the databases. Could some file become corrupt that could cause this? I have NO clue what the deal is!

In reply to: Database Connection Error Again!The host name and location, given as a numerical value, is the one I’ve been using for the last year or so…and is still correct in my config file…oof! This is a tricky database connection error!

In reply to: Database Connection Error Again!One thing that my host informed me of was that they had updated their mySQL version…could this potentially cause a problem? It seems to have started around when this upgrade happened.

I tried what you suggested but had no luck. I’ve also tried to create an entirely new database, and new user…and it still has the same problem! EEK!Thanks for the suggestion though 🙂
