should this be placed in the “Settings”, “Formatting”, “Single location page format” section or elsewhere? I can’t seem to get it to work posting it there. Thanks so much for your help.
yes, that’s what i was using. but the list it generates only shows events occurring that day or future events for that month. the past events within that month are still shown using events_calendar. however using events_list, no events that are in the past are displayed. i’d like the events_list to list all of them for the month, past or not.
thanks for the code snipet, but not exactly sure what it’s for. i don’t want to hide recurring events. using the recurring=”0″ and recurring=”1″ above in my shortcode let me list those events in the calendar and list as they didn’t show up before i added that. but now that i have upgraded to the newest dev version as you suggested in another posting, that has also been corrected.

just wanted to note that i too am having this problem and was about to post about it. i reported it a couple of months ago but was so new to wordpress i couldn’t quite troubleshoot it well. now ready to try and tackle that problem.
i just wanted to add that when i create a recurring event, not only are the dates completely wrong as the previous poster stated, but if you click the “Post published. View post” link, it goes to a “Not Found
Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.” page as if the event was never created or it’s listing an incorrect link for the event posting there.hope that helps and i very much look forward to the update. any idea when it will be released? thanks so much!

thanks! not having much luck upgrading as it says there’s no update available. we’ve decided to not use recurring events and just have an actual person add/update all of the birthdays on a monthly basis. this will work for us.
however, just a quick question on short codes. i have created a page where they’d like to see the birthdays for that month only. i added the following to the page:
[events_calendar scope=”month” category=”65″]
[events_list scope=”month” category=”65″]
the calendar is working exactly as we’d like it to, but the events list only shows upcoming events. is it possible to show all events in a category for the entire month and not just upcoming ones?

amandathanks so much! i figured out why the items weren’t showing in the calendar widget. for some reason when i create a recurring event, the dates are getting all weird. just created a recurring event for 06232012. had it recur yearly until 06232032. but when going back to view all of the individual events it creates, they were listed as november 11th. not sure what’s going on there but looking back, all of my recurring events have done the same.
unfortunately its not a public server so i cannot provide a link. not sure what else we can do or where to even look for why they are posting with completely off the wall dates.
just tried to create another recurring event and now i have noticed what its doing. something with the date. added an event for june 1, 2012 – june 1, 2030. it created 17 separate events for january 6th 2012-2030.
seems like an odd date format setting somewhere but can’t seem to find it.
