In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Given screen space, EFB enlarges the displayed image@ravanh, you are probably right if you look at the results on my laptop. However, I tested the stretch on my 27″ NEC monitor and the same stretch happens. On that monitor, there is no extra scaling parameters.
Yes, images that looked more filling now stay generally in the middle of the screen. But, they don’t get slightly softer from stretching. I may well be splitting hair. But, now you have another data point.
Thanks,
Cemal

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Given screen space, EFB enlarges the displayed imageThe image definitely gets stretched when using Legacy. Here is another screen shot on my 27″ desktop. When I switched to Legacy mode, the image goes beyond its natural 1650 pixels width:
In the past, the speed settings did not change anything in fancybox2 mode and I did not check it again. Thanks to your nudging, I looked once more and they work! Thanks. And the image does not get stretched under fancyBox2. The other two modes stretch the image given screen space.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Given screen space, EFB enlarges the displayed imageThe screen dimensions are 2400 x 1600, Surface Studio Laptop. I display the content at 150% so that I can read it. That is the recommended setting. This setting on EFB honors the full resolution as you can tell from the screen ruler superimposed on it.

It is possible that the Legacy mode get thrown off by this confusing setting. I will later try it on my desktop and report again. But, I am fine using the fancybox2 setting.
Thank you,

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Given screen space, EFB enlarges the displayed image@ravanh, thank you. When I try these, I am logged in as an admin and the fastest cache serves uncached content. This is what I see with the Legacy option while logged in as admin and caching is pushed aside:
And, this is with fancybox2:
I switched to the latter, and I think I will stay with it despite the rapid slide change. Thank you,

Ahem! Has anyone seen this question? Just asking.

I agree, Ralph, the free version seems to be put aside. I understand if they don’t have time to provide answers to questions on the forum, but it would be nice to tell the users that. I guess we will hobble along until it totally quits, then I will look for an alternative.
Thans,
Cemal
I understand, but could not resist to ask for a compromise. Thank you for replying quickly.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Dual identity of home pageThere are two confusing elements. The first one is the “Home Page / Archives” title implying it counts visits to the “home ” page but it does not. The second is the URL they both share pointing at the actual home page of the site and when clicked actually takes me to the “home” page.
To improve clarity, may I suggest that the “Home Page” is taken out of the title leaving only “Archives.” The second is either adding words after that “Archives under …” or not displaying the URL as it is the sum of various categories, author pages, tags, date archives, etc. A single URL that is identical to the real home page along with the misleading title creates confusion.
Thank you, I understand, but accept reluctantly 😉

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Dual identity of home pageThank you for the explanation. My question was, and still is that I have two page entities listed, Kept Light Photography and Home Page / Archives, that point to the same URL. I questioned why list and count two separate pages if they are pointing to the same URL.
I am attaching two screenshots. On each, you will see arrows pointing to the page and URL of each page. And you will see that they are the same destination.
I hope this explains my question. Thank you,
Cemal
