Ok – so here is a little clarification for people who want to know. As far as I can tell the Plugin uses the old Vimeo Simple API. This isn’t a huge problem but there are some restrictions… you can view the link here about privacy. https://developer.vimeo.com/apis/simple
Also, I’ve noticed with this plugin that if you add a Vimeo with bad settings, it will cause all newly add Vimeos after that to not have thumbnails. So the plugin assumes you are doing everything exactly correct, there is not really any error checking. Once you get an error everything goes crazy. So if you thumbs are not showing up… delete everything and add them one at a time. If one fails, adjust the settings and retry otherwise you’ll spend hours trying to figure it out.
Not sure the developer understands helpfulness… so this is for the rest of you.
Thanks for the reply… it appears the privacy settings on my video (restricted to domain) were causing the issue. I also enabled downloading too. I guess I wasn’t sure what type of function was getting the thumbs. Apparently my Vimeo setting were too restrictive. Thanks for the reply… Hopefully no more issues.
