Thanks! Sorry for not reading the readme.txt thoroughly enough.
The parent page links works if I do not set my menu to “Primary Menu” and only uses the generated menu. I tried to look at the differences in the source and the only thing I found was that sub-menu-parent was added to <li class> when it did not work.
