Thanks so much, James. Good to know we should be okay with the 4.4.2 update. I don’t know if he used a child theme, but after your answer I researched the term so I understand now that if he didn’t use one then there may be problems updating, but if he did, then updating will not be a problem.
Regarding Twenty-Twelve vs Twenty-Sixteen, if my goal is good SEO and speed and all the things a person wants in a site, are we fine to stay with Twenty-Twelve and just update from 1.7 to 1.9? Or will we be better off to redo it under Twenty-Sixteen, which I imagine would require my website builder to do a lot of work. Do people still build websites with Twenty-Twelve now even well past its release date?
