Did that, and the error persisted. But then I found out that the error relates to Internet Explorer only (IE 11).
There is no problem when I use Firefox (version 49), or Chrome (version 54), or even Microsoft Edge. Nextgen Gallery works fine with all these browsers.
The error occurs only with Internet Explorer 11 (and perhaps older versions of IE; I only tested IE11).
I’ll use Firefox until you have solved the error.
