In reply to: WordPress / SSL / Safari Can't Connect Issue@virtualmonk, please email me at [removed]. I am having problems getting SiteGround to believe there is a problem with their system. More voices would help give me a louder voice.

In reply to: WordPress / SSL / Safari Can't Connect Issue(I was posting for Virtual Monk to let him know it is a Safari/SiteGround issue as opposed to WordPress)

In reply to: WordPress / SSL / Safari Can't Connect IssueUsing Safari on OS X,
- Load the page. (https://goatdata.com/timeouttest.php)
- Wait for 2 minutes.
- Click on Reload Page.
When you click the 2nd time, the browser should just hang indefinitely. There isn’t a problem with Chrome or Firefox — just Safari.

In reply to: WordPress / SSL / Safari Can't Connect IssueYou should be able to reproduce the problem by going to https://goatdata.com/timeouttest.php
The script contains a single line:
<a href="<? echo $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] ?>">Reload Page</a>Click on “Reload Page” after around 2 minutes and it should just hang there. What’s strange is that an entry is not made to the access log for the request that times out, so it seems like some sort of problem at the SSL level. Through testing I determined the timeout range to be between around 90 seconds and 4 to 5 minutes.

In reply to: WordPress / SSL / Safari Can't Connect IssueI have been experiencing the exact same problems with Safar/SSL on sites hosted by SiteGround — and I’m not using WordPress. I think it is a problem with Safari (at least on OS X) and how it stores/handles SSL communications with SiteGround’s servers and/or caching or cloud technology. I’ve contacted SG support in the past and they haven’t been very useful, but perhaps if you open a ticket as well it will get more attention.
