Thanks for your input. I don’t know how I’m going to login to support, as my developer set all this up. Gah! I wish I would have read about the Genesis update first!
I ran a complete back-up first, then updated to WP 4.3. It was then that I discovered that the Genesis update said this:
You must upgrade to Genesis 2.1.3 before upgrading to WordPress 4.3. Failing to do so may result in losing some taxonomy term meta data, like certain SEO data or settings.
I have not updated to the new Genesis theme yet. Scared to.
