Actually, that wasn’t the only issue. Sorry.
Whenever I save anything (even when not touching anything), it still gives me an error whenever trying to access simple pages, such as “Users”
error message: “Cheatin’ uh?”
Oh well, I guess I’ll wait for the next release.
By the way, Vasyl, I just noticed what the issue is, and why it does this.
What happens is that when you go to the Access Manager, and go to the “Capabilities” tab, you’ll notice the “Administrator” checkbox (bottom left) is unchecked under “Administrator”. So whatever changes you make to any other user, it automatically removes administrator privileges to the admin users (unless someone checks it back on).
Here’s the weird part…if you simply change from “Editor” view back to Administrative” view, it checks the Administrator checkbox automatically. Something simple to fix in the next version, I guess.
Thanks again for your help!
Eric
Just wanted to help others with the same issue and say that the Dev helped me out nicely on this one. Here’s his response:
Hi 3ric,
Probably I did a mistake and gave ability to users manage Administrator Role. But I already fixed this on next release 1.3.1.
I’m sure that you accidentally changed the Administrator Role. And I can be sure because this has been tested hundreds times.
Use this file to repair your admin role – http://whimba.com/download/repair.php1Change the line name to repair.php. Put it on the root and access it with link http://you website]/repair.php.
This should help.
Thanks so much, Vasyl Martyniuk!
5 stars for support and quick response! All admin is back.
Same here!! What the heck?! :s
