Only one which is frontend uploader. The purpose of it is to allow users to upload images which can be added to the galleries. Once they upload the images, they go to the media library. These are in fact the images that I seem to be having issues with.

Update – I was able to successfully download all the problematic images from the media library and upload them directly into the gallery edit page. I also just added a new, totally separate image and had the same issue. It appears that the issue has to do directly with trying to add images to the media library and then adding to the gallery from the media gallery.

The answer to your first question is both. They do not show as part of the gallery when I refresh the gallery edit page as a thumbnail but when I go to the galleries list page, it does show the correct quantity of images under the Media field. It also does not show on the front end when viewing the gallery.

I had not tested uploading a photo directly on the edit gallery page instead of adding from the WordPress media library. I just right clicked and saved one of the troubled images from the WordPress media library and then uploaded it directly and it worked…strange. I guess I can get around this by doing that.

I did a side by side comparison of those images in the media library and ones that were not having that issue and there was nothing unique that I could identify.
