In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Fatal error with most recent updateThanks @geoffbel
WordPress version is 5.8.2
PHP is 7.4.25
PHP memory is 512M
I tried disabling all plugins.
I also temporarily borrowed a pro license from another site and installed that.
No luck. Same errors in the log.
Have reverted to previous version 5.11.0 and everything seems ok again.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Fatal error with most recent updateAlso can’t publish new events. I get a “Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” error.
This is now fixed with the latest update to 2.3.9.6. Thanks, Oliver 🙂
Just learned this also. Oliver, please fix ASAP, as it’s a serious problem. I’ve been struggling for days to get a paid shipping extension to work, and have now discovered that the “connect account” button was hidden by this plugin. Along with a pile of other notifications that would have been usefiul. This is a great plugin otherwise.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] POS/Payment recommendationsThanks @3sonsdevelopment
I think they wouldn’t be looking to replace it right away, but long term it would be cumbersome to have 2 separate POS systems. I think the existing will export, but haven’t tested it. We have looked at Square, but the reviews are not good for the POS/inventory part of things. So I guess what we might be looking for is a smooth transition for the long term, something that will accept imports from the existing standalone system, while we run the two concurrently, but a system that will eventually just become The One.
Does that help?

In reply to: [Flow-Flow Social Feed Stream] Pinterest feed stopped workingThanks for the reply.
I can access a specific board’s rss feed in my browser, but it does not work when added to the plugin.
I want the user feed, not a board, and neither one works in the plugin.
This is not resolved.

In reply to: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget] Need support for Pro Plugin pleaseThanks for the reply, Baden. Yes, it seems to be a spam blockage thing. I had tried the info email as well yesterday, but same thing.
I did receive your direct email, and have replied just now. So far, no bounce. Fingers crossed that we can connect.
Solved! You were right, it was a custom widget/plugin. I went to a backup to discover a custom folder, which lived down in the widgets folder of the so-widgets-bundle plugin folder. I re-uploaded that and everything is back to normal.
Now why they would put it there, knowing that it would be overwritten upon plugin update … will need to address that. It also explains why reverting back to an older plugin version didn’t help, as the folder had already been overwritten.
Another example of why we back up before updating anything. So glad I had that backup.
Thanks for your help on this, alexgso. But for your guidance I wouldn’t even have known where to start.
Hmmm… maybe? Let me look into that and get back to you in the morning. (It’s really late here 😉 Stay tuned for more info.
Thanks alexgso. Really appreciate your help with this.
I hope I did the Teknik right:
the json fileAlso, FYI, upgraded back up to SO Widgets Bundle 1.6.1. Don’t like using outdated plugins when trying to troubleshoot if I can help it 😉
Thanks alexgso
I have systematically deactivated, cleared cached and viewed one by one. And, the culprit seems to be Page Builder by SiteOrigin. When I deactivate that, my 4 slider images reappear, however they are not in a slider format, rather they scroll down the page. Can send you a screen shot if you like.
Actually if you go there now, you’ll see what I mean. Will re-enable in 10 minutes as it looks kind of goofy and I don’t want to leave it that way for long.
I’ve since deactivated all recently updated plugins, and no change. Is it an issue with the WP version?
Thanks, alexgso. None of the above worked. The widget is still missing.
