In reply to: Changes made thru Yahoo! web hosting don't show upDuh. I clicked on the child theme hyperlink and got the info I’ll need in the Codex. Thanks, esmi.

In reply to: Changes made thru Yahoo! web hosting don't show upAlso, I’ve experienced what you said would happen and didn’t even know it. I made just a few changes to the template style.css file and then updated to the latest version of WordPress. All the changes were gone. I couldn’t figure out why. Now the light bulb goes off!

In reply to: Changes made thru Yahoo! web hosting don't show upUh-oh. Too late. That’s what being a novice can do. The changes I’ve made are reproducible so if they go away, I can duplicate them. If I can find them all, eh?) Conceptually, I think I understand what you’re saying about a child theme. It sounds like it’s one you are free to modify with changing the parent theme template. I have no idea how to create a child theme, though. If you can suggest a place to start on how to do that, I’d apprecaite it. Otherwise I’ll dive into the Codex and try to sort it out.
Thanks for your response, esmi.
