Thanks for trying to help, vkaryl. It turns out that this wasn’t a WordPress problem after all. I thought the linking might be a problem with my server, so I installed Drupal just to test things out, see if I would be allowed to goto clean URLS; anything like /admin or /node, and I couldn’t with Drupal, either. However, with Drupal, all of those same functions worked if I made the URLs /?q=node, etc.; the nonclean URLs. I then installed WordPress 2.0 in a new directory, starting with a blank slate, and found out that WP has nonclean URLs, so I upgraded my blogs WP version from 1.5 to 2.0, went to Options/Presneation and selected the Default option for displaying URLs. Everything works perfectly now.

No other replies in the past day.. Has anybody else heard of this issue before?

I believe the DNS changee is resolving.. The domain I’ve moved to is my webhost provider’s, I have a subdomain off it (iftheaccidentwill.nfshost.com/nb). I’m moving my blog to that from my own domain where I installed WordPress and everything runs fine (loadedmouth.com/notebook).

The word processor I used is Neo Office, a version of Open Office that’s designed for Macs. I never saved the text file after editing it, just copied and pasted.
