Delete the /cache folder located inside the plugin to clear cached urls.

Yes, there is a better way to change settings from code. Simply call to the settings class and save the custom settings. Make sure the plugin is installed and activated before doing this though.

Thanks for the feedback, sounds that it could be a really good feature.
If you need to do this with the current version, you can probably customize the gallery view/template and modify it so it calls to a different thumb size. Also, let me remind you that you can change the sizes by going to wordpress -> media settings. Please read the in-plugin documentation for more information.

We use a framework that only support PHP 5.4 and up. We have no plans to support older versions for the time being.
