Zapier Integration
-
Hi!
I want to share with you my recent discussion with Zapier support.
I do not understand why once we integrate zapier, I cannot use a hidden login link. Please see below, looking forward to your comment on this, THANK YOU!!

Zapier is accessing my WP Panel via my own Admin username (I tried to do it with an APP Password but it did not work for some reason) Would Zapier be able to access the info if I use a hidden URL for WP-Admin-Login? using this plugin WPS Hide Login, so the login url for the site might be sometime like banana.com/oijfsj984fmosdc8 If you do not support this at the moment, I think this would be good option to add to your backend.02 From Zapier
Whilst WooCommerce is layered on top of WordPress, the 2 integrations work very differently. When it comes to the WooCommerce integration specifically, I don't have any notes to suggest that changing the login URL might impact performance. To provide some insight, the WooCommerce integration is actually developed and maintained by the WooCommerce team. If you reach out to them directly, they should be able to provide better insight as to how changing the login URL might affect its integration with Zapier. When it comes to using the WordPress integration, the authentication field is looking for your WordPress URL without a custom login path. So if you do have a custom login URL, and you're using the WordPress integration (and not WooCommerce), you'll want to enter your base URL!03
Thanks for your detailed reply! If I may say so, I think there is a possible upgrade that Zapier could easily do and solve this issue for me (and for many others maybe?) You already have amazing automation in the easy to define steps, when I chose google sheets etc to add the WC info. So why not when a person clicks "import from WordPress / Woocommerce" ask them: Default Login URL (wp-login) OR Custom Login URL? I would happily message the Woocommerce people, but if I am not mistaken this has to do more with Zapier and not them, right?04 Zapier
Thanks for following up! The WooCommerce integration is developed and maintained by the WooCommerce team. This also means they get to choose the experience for how you authenticate your WooCommerce account to Zapier. Zapier's developer platform offers many different authentication types, but the option that's used is ultimately the decision of whoever is developing the integration. WooCommerce may have opted for the current process due to requirements from WordPress. This is purely speculative though, and I couldn't say for certain why WooCommerce has chosen what they have.——
