    Good morning,

    I updated a 10-year old site with version 3.0.4, I did the manual update every 3 versions to get to the last current 5.7.1.

    I checked the plugins and thems but they were all old and no longer maintained, consequently deleted

    My problem is in the post categories, I wanted to change and or delete some voices and give me these messages:
    “You are not authorized to change this item.
    You need higher permissions.
    You don’t have permissions to do it. ”

    I deactivated all the plugins without solving the problem

    I currently set GeneratePress as the main them but I tried with those of WP but the problem doesn’t change

    I have access data like admin, in doubt I created a new Admin account to see if that was the problem

    I created a new category and I associated an article of a category that I could not change it and went well, when I went to cancel the old category, I gave me those errors

    I searched on the net and something here, but there are various completely different solutions between them, before making disasters I hope someone can help me

    Hi,
    I am an administrator of a single site, before the various updates I could modify and delete Category and Tags, after the update it is no longer possible.

    I also received file permissions and they all look correct

    I am currently blocked with the jobs I have to do on the site, I had never had a similar problem

    I have created another admin user if they allowed me the changes but nothing

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    I had already done these tests
    The plugins are all deactivated
    I tried with WordPress themmes but the problem is not solved
