“You are submitting requests too quickly”

Can anyone help with this problem please. When requesting products from Amazon to post on my site it varies the number of products retrieved and always comes up with this message – “You are submitting requests too quickly. Please retry your requests at a slower rate.”
How can I overcome this? I cannot find a setting for this. My cronjob was set for 5 mins I reset it for 1/2 hr but makes no difference. Some products only have description and prices, but no picture imported just a blank.
