Just wondering if you managed to solve this? My sitemap is working fine, date wise etc, but in Google Webmaster it is still showing as pending and has been for a number of weeks. I have again today tested the sitemap in webmaster tools and it shows as all ok-
Sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml
Type: Sitemap index
Number of children in this Sitemap index 6
Error details: No errors found.
However the first page still shows pending and on the dashboard it states no URL’s submitted.
I’m wondering if I should revert back to the Google sitemap plugin however when I used that previously it didnt seem to index my event categories.

I have the same date issue, where 1970-01-01 00:00 is shown on some (not all) ‘child site maps’ of sitemap_index.xml. Any idea why this happens? Or is this irrelevant? At least to me it doesn’t seem as if dates should look like that.

Still no, I contact to Yoast via contact form but they are not responding and also not giving me support for this free plugin.
I want to know are you using Genesis Framework ?
