Yesterday evening two sites using Yoast on Divi theme went down. I can access the admin but the published site will not load. By a process of elimination, in conjunction, with my hosting tech support, it appears that it is Yoast causing the problem.
I have disabled everything and re-enabled and now all other plug-ins are working but as soon as I reactivate Yoast the sites will not load again.
I use Yoast and Divi for other sites and it doesn’t appear to be a problem with them.
My hosts says that it is making huge demands on resources?
I use WP all the time but I am not a coder so anything too technical will go over my head.
I really don’t know how to fix this. Do not understand why two sites at the same time go down? (no-one working on them at the time). One site is quite large and the other small – so the resources issue doesn’t make sense to me either.
Would be grateful for any help as I am at a loss. Thanks!
PS Yoast is up to date!

Thanks so much for the suggestion. Have tried this but in didn’t work. (In fact tried turning off all the features but no luck.)

Can’t help thinking you could be on the right lines though, this just could be a simple setting, that may be causing the issue.

    Thanks again!

    Hello,
We would need more information from your webhost, like server error logs, to be able to determine what the cause of the issue is.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
