Yoast SEO And WebP

    I just updated to WordPress 5.8 and want to start using webp images to get a faster loading site and found that where you add a Facebook and Twitter image under the Social tab when creating a post, that for Facebook a webp image is not allowed within Yoast.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Indeed, WordPress 5.8 now includes support for webp images. For now, it’s still not supported by the Yoast SEO plugin.
