That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
2. Check for conflicts.
3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
Hello,
Were you able to determine if there was a plugin or theme conflict with your issue?
Hello,
Apologies for my delay, please see my comments below:
1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled – once Yoast is disabled the page title shows correctly, but the description doesn’t. I’m seeing this happen on 2 main pages and all of the child pages.
2. Check for conflicts – no conflicts
3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console-no js errors
Let me know if you have any info on how to fix this on the couple pages it’s happening on. I’ve reached out to the theme support and they have directed me to reach out to the Yoast support team.
Thank you
Upon checking the page source of https://oceansandairways.com/destination/, we can see that the Yoast SEO plugin is enabled and the correct title is displaying, but there is no meta description set. Can you confirm you’ve set a meta description for this in the Yoast SEO meta box?
Hello,
The information added to Yoast from the Destinations page is:
Page title: Destinations 2018 | Oceans & Airways
Meta description: 2018 is the year we choose to travel. Learn about some of the destinations we’ve been to, the tips and insights gained along the way and where we’re going next!
Cheers
We understand you’ve inputted that as the meta description, however it doesn’t show in the page source. We think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.
