• Hello
I created ACF for an immo website and I realised that Yoast interfere with my ACF field. For example, when I want to add a property, the ACF fields didn’t appear. And they do appear when I am on staging (dev) website. Weird. So I removed Yoast.

    Hello @ameloulou,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide a bit more information about your setup?

    • Which versions of Yoast SEO and ACF are installed on both the live and staging sites?
    • Are the live and staging sites running the same WordPress, PHP, theme, and plugin versions?
    • Do you see any JavaScript errors in your browser’s console when editing a property on the live site?
    • If you activate only ACF and Yoast SEO (with all other plugins disabled), do the fields still fail to appear?

At the moment, we can’t conclude that Yoast SEO is causing the issue, as the ACF fields work correctly on your staging site. Any differences between the two environments may help identify the cause.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your prompt answer.
1-The Yoast version I used on both staging ans Prod is 27.7
2- Yes both environment are exactly the same
3-I am not technical but what I see on Elementor (when editing the page) is something on Mode échec (sorry It’s in French).
3- I don’t have anymore Yoast so cannot tes this case precisely. However, I disabled all the plugins one by one and then found out the Yoast was the problem on Prod website.

You’re right maybe it is not Yoast..The thing that bothers me is that it works well on staging.

    Best

    Amel

Thank you for the additional information. If Elementor is showing “Safe Mode” (“Mode échec”), that could be an important clue. Safe Mode is usually triggered when Elementor detects a problem that may be caused by a plugin, theme, server configuration, or a JavaScript error.

Since you found that the issue disappeared when Yoast SEO was deactivated on the production site, but not on staging, it suggests there may be something different between the two environments even if they appear identical at first glance. For example, there could be differences in server configuration, PHP settings, caching, security rules, or JavaScript errors.

Could you reinstall Yoast SEO and check whether Elementor’s Safe Mode appears again? If it does, please share a screenshot of the message and any details Elementor provides.

Also, if possible, please check whether there are any errors in your browser’s console when editing the page. This should help us determine whether Yoast SEO is directly involved or whether another issue is only surfacing when Yoast SEO is active.

    Hi

If I reinstall Yoast it means I’ll have to de-install the other plugin..Not sure if they will propose data migration. Anyway, I’ll do it and see.

Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum. You could consider purchasing a Yoast SEO Premium subscription since it comes with email support. Then we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately.

    Hi,
I cannot buy the licence as the website is my client’s.
