Per the instructions in the “sitemap-help-options-ping” page, I created a yahoo API key. However, that’s ALL that I did. I literally just went to the Yahoo api creation page that you linked, selected “generic” and used my website’s url as the application.

I did NOT create a “project” or any of that. I merely created the api key and accepted the Yahoo agreement.

Is there anything more I should do?

  • Hi Robin,

ah, I need to update that page. Since Yahoo is now powered by Bing, they don’t have their own ping / webmaster API anymore.

    Sorry for the trouble!

    Thanks, glad to know!

By the way, the 4.x update is working well for me.

If any of you are seeing a styled but blank sitemap.xml file, view the source and you’ll see the separate/isolated extension sitemaps.
