XMLRPC username/password issues.
-
I’m having issues logging on to my blog using Windows Live Writer (WLW). The error I am getting is invalid username/password. This is a recent error, started occurring yesterday, it’s been at most a week since I last tried logging on this way.
Prior to this week, it worked fine. I have verified the username/password combination is correct, I can log on to the site normally, just not through WLW using xmlrpc. I have 3 sites, 2 of them use a subdirectory for WordPress, one doesn’t. This stopped working on all 3 sites at once. My guess, a server change. I contacted FatCow (provider), they said no changes were made in the last 2 weeks (Aside: amazing since they had a .cgi issue today that got fixed…with no server changes.)
How do I determine what is causing this issue, and how to fix it? My main blog and the one I am trying to get working is http://www.wordpresschronicle.com/ , the wordpress install is http://www.wordpresschronicle.com/wordpress/, and the xmlrpc is located at http://www.wordpresschronicle.com/wordpress/xmlrpc.php
I’ve looked through the forum and tried the suggestions in other post with no luck, the exception being removing the security filter, since I don’t know that it would be the same on all servers, but suspect it wouldn’t.
I’ve been working on this for two days and reached the end of my limited knowledge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
