    Sometimes resetting the permalink structure will quickly solve a 404 error from a recent change to your installation. Go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save without altering anything.

    If this doesn’t update the sitemap links to https, please disable the sitemap function and reload the sitemap index. Once the page loads a 404, enable sitemaps again. This forces the plugin to generate a new copy of the sitemap data.
