XML-RPC Activation/ WPToGo on Android

    I apologize if this has been asked before…I’ve searched the forums but have been unable to answer my question….and I’m not particularly savvy with the web and code!

    I run two wordpress blogs (http://www.kellybwell.wordpress.com and http://www.kellycooks.wordpress.com) via the WordPress website. I don’t have special domains, etc, I run them simply as free blogs from http://www.wordpress.com

    I recently purchased an Android phone, and downloaded the WPToGo app so I can update the blogs via phone. However, when I follow the instructions I found on this forum for turning on the XML-RPC — which is log into wordpress, go to your settings, go to the writing page, and enable them by clicking a box — I am stuck.
    My writing page doesn’t offer that option at all. All my writing page offers me is the ability to post from email.

    Is there another way?

    Sorry for the lack of knowledge 🙂

    this forum is for wordpress.org self hosted blogs, not wordpress.com

    so the majority of help you find on here is not applicable to any wordpress.com hosted blog

    sure, no problem!

    from the descriptions I find around the webs, I can’t tell if that app works at all with .com accounts, or only .org self-hosted

    Yeah, I think that’s how I ended up over here — the only hits on the xml/android issue were from .org! 🙁
