I tried to down downshift to version 3.0, but it does not work. I had to switch off “Force language in custom links” as a temporary measure to make pages work without 404 error.

Hi,
Your issue isn’t clear. I checked https://kilok.art/ukrainian-historical-fiction-series/ link and when switching to English, I receive https://kilok.art/en/ukrainian-historical-fiction-series/, which is correct.
Does the issue occur only when the “Force language in custom links” option is enabled? If so, make sure you are using our latest version of the plugin.
Please, provide more details about the situation.

It happens only when the “Force language in custom links” option is enabled. It not in the url of the translated page, but in the links url on page. Now I have “Force language in custom links” disabled because all site links on pages give 404 in English.
if I use /ukrainian-historical-fiction-series/ as a link, in eglish verion i have a wrong link : https://kilok.artrainian-historical-fiction/rainian-historical-fiction-series/
I use the latest version of plugin.
Here is an example of page text when I used : https
«Ukrainian Stories of Life and Fight» is an English-language historical fiction series that brings these experiences to international readers through short stories grounded in real historical contexts.

Hi,
That part is not a link on https://kilok.art/ukrainian-historical-fiction-series/, but a formatted text without any link behind. So basically, there was no option to check the issue directly on your website.
