Wrong Domain in SiteKit Setup
-
I’ve been using SiteKit since beta and with a few minor exceptions it has worked well for me until I did a push from my staging server to my production server a couple of weeks ago. Both sites are hosted on Flywheel.
After the push I am asked to “Sign in with Google to configure Site Kit” but when I do I see that it wants me to validate the domain associated with the staging version of the site and not production.
I have disabled/enabled, removed the plug-in and re-installed (latest version) with caching off and on but still no luck. I don’t know how to change the domain associated with SiteKit back to the production site.
I searched the database to see if it’s a value I could change manually but nothing there either. The funny thing is all my data in GA is correct so I know it’s tracking the correct site even though it says it needs to be configured.
Any suggestions?

Just to check- have you already attempted to reset Site Kit in the settings?
I had tried it before but everything was blank after the setup. I couldn’t get to settings or see any data in the dashboard. This time I put the site into developer mode on Flywheel (turns off caching) and it seems to have taken. I got the blank screen but after a hard refresh everything came back and I was able to complete the setup with the correct information. I think the issue is resolved.
@kurtstrive thanks so much for following up and glad to hear that resolved it!
