Wrong Blog Post Displaying Despite Correct URL

    I’ve been trying to troubleshoot a mysterious problem that happens when navigating our WP blog (RMLScentral/blog). I click on the URL of a post and although I see the correct URL display in the browser bar, the blog post that appears in the window is not the one associated with the URL above.

    It seems to happen with anyone who accesses the site frequently–mostly staff, but we’ve been getting some blog posts with enough hits that our clients are starting to have problems with it as well. (Fortunately, force reloading the page by hitting Shift+Reload once or twice seems to set things straight…until the next occurrence.)

    Of course I tried deactivating our plugins one at a time and was able to easily recreate the problem time after time.

    Why is our site doing this? Anyone have a brilliant idea for what to test next?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
