    I’ve installed the WpVivid – Backup, Migration, and Staging plugin. It seems to install fine. When I try to activate it, I see the following:

    Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

    This message was triggered by WordPress Core.

    Call stack:

    1. wp_die()

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

    This message typically means that WordPress is blocking the admin page that the plugin tries to redirect to right after activation. In many cases, the plugin actually is successfully activated—your current user role just might not have the permissions needed to view the WPvivid dashboard.

    Could you please check the Plugins page first to see if WPvivid is already showing as ‘Activated’? Also, it would help us troubleshoot if you could let us know what user role your account has (e.g., Administrator or another role).

    By the way, just want to double-check: do you have only the free version of WPvivid installed right now, or is the Pro version active too?

    Kind regards.

    I am installing as an administrator.
    The plugin shows as “active”, but when clicked on does nothing.
    I have the free version installed.

    The problem is now solved. I was using a role management plugin, and had removed the standard wordpress roles. Thanks to the fine folks at WpVivid, I restored the standard wordpress roles and added Administrator to my profile, and now the plugin works.

    Kudos to WpVivid for going above and beyond to find the problem!
