• I get this error and don’t know what to do:

Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/include/plugin.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/tenniselbowdoctor.com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/tenniselbowdoctor.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/wptouch.php on line 44

Warning: main(include/plugin.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/tenniselbowdoctor.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/wptouch.php on line 44

Can anyone help? I’ve searched the forums and WPtouch support site. It is probably something simple.(Maybe?) I installed it on another site and it installed perfectly.

  • Hi,

I have a blog on wp and the theme is WP Polaroid. I have a couple of questions:

On the dashboard, I dont’t see any place where I can update all the info with my info, pictures. How do I do this? I can not see how to upload ads/photos (if I can) in this space in the dashboard.

There is a error message on the bottom of the page that reades: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_flickrrss() in /home/content/65/5577265/html/wp-content/themes/wp-polaroid/footer.php(1) : eval()’d code on line 5

    Please help.
    Thanks

I was getting no help so I pushed ahead and read as much as I could. I’m a rookie but here’s what I found out and I hope it help someone….

What I did was get rid of my .htaccess file that is in the root directory. (The one that contains wp-config file.) Made a new file in my text editor and named it htaccess.txt.
Uploaded it to the server and when it was there I changed it to .htaccess

Then set the permissions to 777. And now everything works. I’m new so it took me forever to figure this out and do this but hopefully it will save somebody some time.

It works like a champ now and I am stoked! (Apparently it was the .htaccess file I had set up for permalinks. I did something wrong while learning.)
