Hi When I activate the plugin, I get the following message:

Notice: wpseo_pre_analysis_post_content filter/action is deprecated since version WPSEO 3.0! Use javascript instead. in /home/../public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3573.

Anyone know what this means and what I can do about it?

    Thank you,
    Sandra

  • Pretty sure it’s because of a problem with WPBakery Visual Composer, although I’m not sure how to fix it.

I can confirm that the notice disappears if I deactivate either WPBakery Visual Composer OR Yoast SEO.
    Wordpress 4.4.2
    Yoast Seo 3.0.7
    Visual Composer 4.7

It seems that the developer of one of your plugins or theme did not update accordingly.

You can easily find what plugin/theme is causing this conflict, by disabling your plugins one by one and switching to a default theme like Twenty Sixteen. If the notice goes away, you know what plugin/theme is using the deprecated hook.

Please inform its developer about this problem, so he/she can fix it for you.

I contacted the creator of VC 4.7 a few days ago, which I believe is the culprit. He wanted to modify the plugin on my site, which of course isn’t the right solution. I’m going to email him the link that @taco Verdo mentioned above, hopefully he can come out with a fix.

Guess I deleted that email, can’t find it anywhere. Ugh.
