WP/MAMP newbie

Starting trying to install today. Installed MAMP and uploaded WP. Trying to do this locally.

I cannot get into WP. I have placed the files on my computer in both the MAMP/htdocs folder and have even created my own folder. When ‘Open start Page’ on MAMP I get a blank page
