    Heya,

    since a couple of days ill get critical errors when i try to open pages in my WordPress backend.

    With plugin deactivated everythings opens normally, if its active I cant enter my page overview or cant scroll though my woocommerce order pages.

    Below is something i was supposed to copy out of WPForms and post in here.

    Hi @mexicangoodfood ,

    Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble here!

    I noticed in the system info that your WordPress memory limit is set to 40M, which is quite low. Could you please try increasing it to 256M by adding the following lines to your wp-config.php file, just above the line that says “That’s all, stop editing”?

    Once done, please check if you’re still seeing the issue when opening the Pages or WooCommerce Orders section.

    If the issue continues, could you please share the exact critical error message? WordPress usually sends this to your admin email with the subject “Your site is experiencing a technical issue”. The email should include the file and line where the error occurred.

    You can also enable WordPress debugging to capture the error in wp-content/debug.log by adding these lines to your wp-config.php file:

    so this is the error message i get now. I tried to set it to 256mb in the config.php, then my whole backend dashboard was not accessible anymore. So i had to change the file back to the previous state.

    Thanks for sharing the error, and sorry that adding the memory limit caused the dashboard to become inaccessible.

    For now, please leave those two memory lines out of your wp-config.php file. It looks like your server was already allowing more memory, so setting it to 256M actually introduced a lower limit.

    The error is useful, though. It shows that even 256M was not enough and that the memory is being exhausted while loading your WordPress theme files and the Action Scheduler library.

    Could you please go to WPForms > Tools > Scheduled Actions and let me know roughly how many actions are listed under Pending and Failed, and which ones they are? A screenshot of the list works fine if there are a lot.

    WPForms and WooCommerce both use Action Scheduler, so this will help us check if a large number of scheduled actions could be contributing to the high memory usage.

    Hi @mexicangoodfood ,

    Thanks for the details. Your scheduled actions look normal, so we can set those aside for now.

    Since the crash is related to memory on those screens, there are two things worth trying first. Please keep the wp-config.php memory lines removed and instead ask your host to increase the PHP memory limit to 512M, as your server was already allowing more than the 256M limit you set.

    Also, please update Germanized for WooCommerce, as version 4.0.11 is a few versions behind your WooCommerce 11.1.0.

    If the screens still crash after that, could you please try using the steps in WPBeginner’s detailed guide on troubleshooting WordPress to see if it helps resolve the issue:
