If it’s a commercial plugin, then it’s not going to be in the WordPress repository on this site, and no one here can give any guarantee about it being worth while, working or of any support for it in the future.
Having said that, it could easily be fine. Most commercial places are pretty reputable, and do give a decent service to their customers, so if that’s what your client wants then I’d say get it, and if anything does go wrong let your client know about it and remind them that it was them that wanted to use that in the first place.

I’m probably going to build something out for a friend’s box then. They are starting on a cheap SAAS solution but it only does reservations. As a coach and a programmer I can see where you could get so much more with a decent app!
I too tried to contact the Dev on Twitter where he is very active, and no response. Then I found a listing for WPWOD.com on flippa.com.

It was bought and as far as I can tell, isn’t maintained, and is simply there as something of a cash cow for the purchaser. I certainly wouldn’t trust it.

I have yet to make a solution, but plan to develop something that will grow along with the box. The plan is a 3rd party tool with a WP plugin, so that the user’s data (the actual clients of the box) would be portable.
Keep me informed on your progress if you don’t mind. I’m considering developing something similar to wpwod, except, you know, actually keeping it updated and relevant. I don’t want to waste time if you’ve got something in the works.

I’m actually looking for this exact thing right now as well. I have a client that needs this done ASAP and I was happy to find WP WOD, but now, I’m not even comfortable giving them my money if I can’t know I’ll get the plugin after purchase – regardless of support :-/
Hi, I am wondering if you could help me; my client is a personal trainer and would like to offer:
1/ Online fitness training to her clients which they would access via (different levels of) paid membership.
2/ They would be issued with a username and password which would then take them to their own personal member’s area.
3/ She would like to attach word/excel/mov files and communicate with her clients directly via the members area.
4/ She needs her clients to record their training progress into a form which would automatically be sent back to her via email.
I was looking at the WP WOD page until I saw this post! Is there anything else out there that you could recommend for my requirements?
