Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » WP Super Cache with load balancer

  • We have a multisite WordPress installation working with a load balancer with three replicated servers.

The problem appears when WP Super Cache options are changed because it only modifies the config file in the server where is running and WP Super Cache configuration remains inconsistent with the other servers.

Someone else has encountered with the same problem?

Any one have any idea how to fix this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

  • You need something to sync the changed files when they are updated. How are you pushing out changes to the other servers? Add /wp-content/wp-cache-config.php to that list and then deploy it to all of the servers at once.

You can pretty much edit it by hand too and try not to make changes via the backend admin section.

We also use a program called Unison installed on our two servers to sync changes of static files back and forth every 3 minutes. This is a must have for media assets like uploaded static images in the wp-content folder

    Thanks kingkool68.

We aren’t pushing out changed files with sync service. All the servers share changeable dirs with a NFS. But we think that isn’t it the best option to put wp-cache-config.php out of server file system due performance reasons, this file is readed constantly.

We also discard sync option because this changes occurs few times, only when the end user decides switch on or off the cache.

    More suggestions?
