• Hi, I just migrated a WordPress site from my testing server to the client’s hosting account on a different server. The migration seemed to go well; but, now, instead of the site opening when the web address is typed into the browser, a directory opens. The user is faced with this:
    Index of /

    cgi-bin/
    wp/

If they click on wp/, they will go to the WordPress installation and everything on the site works.

Is this an issue with the wp-config.php file? Here’s the link to the web site so you can see what I am saying–(this is a marijuana site in Colorado). http://www.420greengenie.com.

I used All-In-One Migration for the migration. Also, I now can not log into the WP admin side of the site. The username/password I used on my server (the one I migrated from) doesn’t work.

Thanks for any help you can offer. The web host ignored my messages and I am at a loss.

  • I have not used the All-in-One WP Migration plugin and you will need to re-post your question on the plugin’s support forum if you want an answer to the questions you asked:
    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/all-in-one-wp-migration

However, I can say that I have done a lot of clones and moves of WordPress sites over the last 8 years or so, and now use Duplicator at https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/.

And, if that doesn’t work on the first try, I follow the standard WordPress documentation on the subject:

    Hi Jonradio,
I don’t think it was an All-in-One migration issue, I think I did something to the file structure when I tried to figure out what was going on and I tried to fix it. I am pretty certain that I should just remove the WP installation and reinstall it. That was a suggestion I got from someone else and it’s the one that makes the most sense.

Thanks for your help and the link to the documentation.
