I noticed that the Flying Script plugin stops working when WP-Optimize is active. Disabling WP-Optimize or reverting to version 4.1.1 successfully restores Flying Script functionality. I believe this may be the root cause: “Cache – Start caching after plugins loaded.”, introduced with the 4.2.0 update.

    Hi!
Sorry about the conflict you’ve encountered with Flying Script.
This can be fixed by enabling the Contain each included file in its own block feature at WPO > Minify > JavaScript.

However, please note that WPO also has the feature to delay JavaScript execution until a page interaction is registered. With that, you don’t need an additional plugin to be installed.
You can activate this at WPO > Minify > JavaScript > Delay JavaScript.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards.

    Hi @deabiodun

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I’m unable to enable the “Contain each included file in its own block” option because it requires the Minify feature to be turned on first. However, enabling Minify causes significant layout issues on my website, so it’s not a valid solution for me. That said, I’m still able to use Flying Script with WP-Optimize (version 4.1.1) without enabling that option.

    Hi!
Are you still experiencing this issue with the latest updates?
Instead of disabling Minify in its entirety, you can disable only Minify JS or Minify CSS to determine which one is causing the conflict. You can then drill further from there.

    Regards.

    Hi @deabiodun
Unfortunately I can no longer test this because, due to this issue and the problem that caused a disruption on my homepage after updating to version 4.2.0 (as reported here), I had to switch to a different cache plugin.

So sorry to hear that you had to use another plugin.

Feel free to get in touch if you encounter this issue on any other sites.

    Regards,
    Damilare.
