I just installed WP Editor for the first time a few minutes ago. I immediately loved it for the syntax highlighting in the post/page text editor. Unfortunately it removed all the buttons that I had added to my text editor with the plugin Visual Editor Custom Buttons

I tried another similar plugin AddQuicktag and the same thing happened.

I can’t live without syntax highlighting anymore, but I also prefer not to live without my code buttons either.

    What is the solution?

  • I installed WP Editor yesterday, but it would make the code insertion buttons disappear, and this was a deal-breaker for me. I’m currently using HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter, though it has some problems too.

    Hey guys,

There is currently no solution for this. The quicktag buttons are recreated in order to interface with WP Editor. I will be looking into resolving this more in the future, but don’t have any solution at this point.

    Thanks!
