    i have a few issues, i’d like to run by you please.

    Heres my two issues….

    1. I’m not sure the minify is working right. For two reasons. When i keep adding files to minify, combine and footer etc, the % goes down. And also google speed test is saying all my files are not minified or are still render blocking. i have given Mike my url.

    2. and my bigger issue is i have WP debug running and i keep getting errors from Hummingbird. I have sent you a small debug log to check, which Mike saw but he said to post my questions here.

    Hope you are having a great day and I really apologize about the delay here.

    I’m really sorry you’ve had to experience this inconvenience using Hummingbird. Well, we took a look over your site, the debug.log file and everything else relevant.

    Regarding the first issue, we cannot be sure if Hummingbird is minifying/combining the files because your files are already stored in a CDN (Buddycdn). Google PageSpeed Insights is reporting one of your JS files as “blocking resources” but that one file is coming from the CDN so it is not possible to be addressed by Hummingbird. And external resources like Google Fonts’ CSS is not possible to be minified by Hummingbird as well. Regarding the dropping of scores, as the Hummingbird Performance Reports and more specifically under the recommendations for ‘Remove render blocking resources’ issue says,

    Note that it can be very hard to get a perfect score for this rule. Some plugins and themes due to their design may not be able to handle their scripts deferred to the footer without breaking, so will have to be left in their original position. And often combining and minifying all CSS files will not completely remove their impact on your score. Just try multiple combinations to improve this score as much as possible.

    So, I’d recommend you to try a bit more combinations (minification/combinations/deferring/moving to footer) and wait for it to send you out a perfect score.

    Regarding the second issue, we tried to replicate it on our test sites but couldn’t. And we aren’t receiving such reports from other members using Hummingbird as well. So, I’d like to continue troubleshooting this and would highly appreciate if you cooperate. We think (just assumptions for now) that it might be related to the file system, or permissions or might be one/some aspects of the server configurations. First of all, I’d suggest adding this define('FS_METHOD', 'direct'); to your wp-config.php file and then check if you still can replicate the issue.
