I got stuck in the 5 minute download.
Is the basic procedure this simple.

    1. Download WordPress.
    2. Save in C:drive.
    3. Change the wp-config-sample to wp-config.php.
    4. Open wp-config-php file in a word pad program.
    5. Make changes to the Database: name, username, password, host. Save.
    6. Download a Filezilla program.
    7. Connect to host server using Filezilla, add host server details.
    8.
    9.
    10.

    Step 3. “sample” won’t delete?
Step 8-10? Can someone fill in the specific steps, please.

  • if renamed the sample configfile then you should only have wp-config.php in step 3

step 8 is upload your wordpress to host server.
step 9 run install program by going to
    domianname/wp-admin/install.php

once installed you log in with domainname/wp-admin

    Thanks for your advise/video Govpatel.

I finally got it working, by contacting my web host. They went in and installed it for me. After a 2 week wait, I am glad that phase is gone.

    You are welcome
