wp-config file for SQL Server 2008

Hi I am following the instructions here:

On step 5 I get to the screen where I am supposed to create a wp-config file. If I click on the create config file link I get the following error

The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

which is in relation to the file:

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress\wp-admin\setup-config.php

I was reading up on how to manually create the file but can only find instructions on editing it for MySQL. When I did try to edit the file with the dbname, account and password I just got a blank page when browsing.

Can anyone advise if the settings are different when using SQL Server 2008 or how to fix the error?
