Hi, zeemy, I’m sorry, I don’t have the answer to your issue, but I like what you’ve done with the theme, & I was wondering if maybe you could help me?! I am running around in circles trying to change the header_bg & header_links images. I’m unable to make any changes through the stylesheet or header option from my wordpress admin area. I’ve changed the header image & now can’t make it match up in size to the prior image. Yours is exactly what I’m trying to accomplish, & I’d appreciate you help! & I’ll have my husband take a look at yours to see if he can help you (’cause he couldn’t help me!)
You can take a look at the mess I’m creating here:

Thanks for your time & good luck with your site.

Hello, I’d be happy to help. Thanks for you comments.
I’m assuming that you just edited the included psd, and it looks right in photoshop.
If thats the case. All you have to do is create new documents for each of the sections, and adjust the width and height like this:
for header_bg: 1000 x 220
for page_header: 800 x 110
then go back to your theme psd, for header_bg select the whole top header from left to right(follow the grids). for page header select between the the two grids at 100 and 900(go to view>rulers, if you dont see a ruler, then right click it and select pixels). For both of these selections, go to edit>copy merged(or copy if the former is greyed), and paste them in your new documents. If everything is aligned, then save them in file>”save for web”. keep it jpeg, and the same name and replace it via ftp.
for header links make a new document that is 800 x 200
first select and copy the header links between 100 and 900. paste that into your new doc, and move it to the top(there will be space). Then go to your layers panel, and click on the little eye beside the “:hover” folder. The links should have turned brighter. Select and copy, and then paste to the bottom of your new doc. Save in the same way as the others, and voila!
This is pretty complex, kind of a photoshop 101, but hopefully you can see your way through it.
Let me know if you have anymore problems.
