• I’m having problems with flash animations on my sites.

An example can be found here: http://rebwebdesign.com/?page_id=31

The second animation appears in FF and Opera and Camino, but not in IE.

WP is apparently breaking the code – when I view the source it’s adding extra break and p tags.

Is there a way around this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • WordPress will add those tags by default. One way to avoid them in your Flash markup is to install a plugin like this one that allows you to selectively disable the filters that add that extra markup.

Another option is to use a plugin designed for managing flash applications, which will circumvent the problem.

Or just turn off the wysiwyg editor – it really hates code.

yeah – I’m not using the wysiwyg editor – I needed all the extra quicktags that it won’t allow 😉

I was using the flash quicktag plugin to insert the code – the one found at http://www.ssdesigninteractive.com/ssdesign/?p=82

I’ll try the textcontrol – that looks like a great option.

    Thanks so much!
