WP Autosents 2 Mails after User Validation

    Hello everyone!

    Maybe this topic has already been discussed, but I sadly could not find it searching the forum, so I am trying my luck with this.

    I got the following problem:
    I built a webstore with woocommerce, where people can register.
    Thing is, they can register on the website, but I need to authorize their registration for them to be able to access the store.
    This part is already working, but right now, whenever I authorize a User, WP sents 2 Mails. One about the success of the authorization, and a second one to set the password.
    Thing is, can I somehow get rid of the second mail? I figured out how to change the content of the first one to fit my needs, and the user already sets a password when he registered, so there is no need for that second mail. Plus, I cannot change the content in any way, at least to my knowledge.

    Hello there!

    Are you using a WooCommerce extension to approve the users? You should have the option to enable/disable emails in the extension settings.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your fast reply!

    I couldnt find the option to validate users in the woocommerce plugin. (I am using the free to use one, not the pro version).

    I use the WP approve user Plugin to approve the user via User Settings.
    Then it sends the approval mail (which I am able to change thanks to the aforementioned plugin), but it also sents the 2nd Mail about the password.

    Ok, thank you for your explanation!

    I’ve found this topic and it seems that they were able to fix it with a filter.

    If that doesn’t work for you, would you please create a new topic in the WP Approve User plugin forum using this link? They should be able to provide you with a more accurate and updated information 🙂
