wp autoresponder

Has anyone used this plugin?

I am trying to create a newsletter on my site. I’m already new to wordpress and still trying to figure out how to do the basics of everything.

From my understanding a third party is needed to set up a email input / subscription form on my website (ie. mailchimp).

It seems from the autoreponder website, that this plugin eliminates this need.
