• downloaded the file changed the code to match my sql for 1and1.
    uploaded all the files under WordPress to 1 and 1 ftp account
    now getting the 404 message

    website is excapeapparel.com
    i set up a new directory as news because i want the blog as the subdomain of my website under excapeapparel.com/news

    any ideas ? the only thing i can think of is that the is a confusion with the code between the page excapeapparel.com/news.html

    i also want my nav bar on that wordpress page if possible… ?

  • It depends on how your hosting is set up. However, you should be able to create a new user, assign all the privileges for that user in relation to the database and then attach the user to the database. You’ll need to update the wp-config.php file with the new username and password once you’ve done so.

    just remade the sql database to see about permissions and it doesnt ask… how would i change that ? thanks for your help

    The permissions have to do with the user. The permissions are assigned to the user, typically when you attach a user to the database. Did you create a new user and attach that user to the database?

    ok i found mysql info and it says no privileges but i dont see how to change it. is that what is preventing me from moving forward? thanks
