WP 6.3 Tags search misbehaviour

    After updating to 6.3 tagging functionality of WordPress is not working properly when searching a tag. For example: When I search “car” it suggests all tags that includes “car” but not exactly the “car” tag itself. Like it suggests: “car painting”, “car repair”, “car and vehicles” and … but, not the exact tag “car”!

    I’m using WordPress fa_IR-6.3.

    When I search “car” it suggests all tags that includes “car” but not exactly the “car” tag itself.

    I’m unable to reproduce this on a fresh WordPress 6.3 site with the default Twenty Twenty-Three theme and no plugin installed. See the screenshot below.

    Something on your site is causing the behaviour you’re seeing.

    My site has more than 19K tags (I know it’s too much 😅) when I search “car” for example, there are more than 20 suggestions that includes car but not the “car” exactly. Also, the language of my content is Persian (fa-IR)!
